【摘要】:p>Thesignificanceofthenumberofscratchesasfarascorrelationwithfieldperformanceisconcernedhasnotbeenestablished.Aparticlewhichisabrasivetoplasticwillnotnecessarilybeabrasivetosteelorotherbearingmaterials.SomecorrelationwasobtainedinthatthecontaminantusedinSample3(see10.1.1)hadagreaterwearrateinalaboratoryballbearingabrasiveweartestthanthecontaminantinSample2.Note18212;Thenumberofscratchesobtainedcannotbeusedtodrawfinedifferencesbetweengreases,butrather,togroupthemintotwoorthreegeneralclasses.Onesuchpossibledivisioncouldbe:
